In this drawing a bright red fire rages behind and above a single row of skulls on the ground. The skulls do not seem to be burning yet, but judging by the intensity of the fire it is only a matter of time until they ignite and are consumed. The skulls are resting on a slight incline and seem to have been placed in a line for a specific purpose. The exact purpose is left for us to discover. Are these the skulls of a conquered enemy, a sacrifice, or something else? One thing is certain - there are consequences for our actions.
I am doing my best to interpret the age and society I live in through art. I have included titles and descriptions, but how you interpret what you see may very well be different from mine.
