From the left side of the drawing vines are creeping up a solid foundation onto the side of a building that has not been painted or maintained for years. The vines are creeping towards a door that no longer is able to keep anything in or out. It appears that there was an attempt to maintain the door as there are remnants of paint on it, but it is peeling and cracking. Even though 2 of its 3 hinges are still intact, the door will soon fall to the ground because the structure that supported it is broken. Some of the door window glass is broken but in what remains you can see the reflection of storm clouds. The door is hanging on and won’t last long in this harsh environment unless something is done.
I am doing my best to interpret the age and society I live in through art. I have included titles and descriptions, but how you interpret what you see may very well be different from mine.
