In this painting we see an old church or school against the backdrop of a churning and threatening sky. The weeds and trees are all bare and nothing seems to be growing or even alive. A cattle chute leads to the front door, a door that appears to be made of some type of metal and that does not have a door handle. As was so common on these type of buildings there is a large clock above the door. The steampunk looking clock has stopped minutes from high noon.
I am doing my best to interpret the age and society I live in through art. I have included titles and descriptions, but how you interpret what you see may very well be different from mine.
