This drawing contains only three elements: a threatening dark sky, a weathered mesquite tree, and a wooden cross. Like all of my work the image is of a real place; this one a graveyard located in the Santa Anna Wildlife Refuge just a mile north of the US/Mexico border. You will need to draw your own conclusions as to the meaning.
I am doing my best to interpret the age and society I live in through art. I have included titles and descriptions, but how you interpret what you see may very well be different from mine.
