Artist's Description

This painting depicts a building in a state of neglect and disrepair. For some reason heavy duty hardware cloth has replaced the glass that once covered the window frames. The screen in the windows is still intact, but in one corner someone or something has rolled back a small section. You can’t tell if it was to get in or out. Exposed to the elements the window frames and siding are very weathered. Despite this there are still bits of white paint clinging to the surface of the siding and what looks to be red paint on the window frames. Vines are growing up the side of the building casting shadows as they climb. It won’t take long now.
