A group of aspen trees is considered a singular organism with the main life force underground in the extensive root system. Before a single aspen trunk appears above the surface, the root system may lie dormant for many years until the conditions are just right, including sufficient sunlight. These aspens have been mowed down by an early spring snow, at least that is what it appeared to be on the surface. Since they are all interconnected I wondered how the onslaught would effect those that remained. If you choose to accept it these are not just fallen aspen trees. It’s getting closer and much sooner than most would imagine.
I am doing my best to interpret the age and society I live in through art. I have included titles and descriptions, but how you interpret what you see may very well be different from mine.
